Pump technology and PEM

PEM - Intelligent control that reduces CO2 emissions and saves costs.

The innovative Pump Efficiency Module (PEM) is a speed control, monitoring and analysis concept specifically designed for heating and cooling processes.

Depending on the plant variant, the PEM consists of:

  • Sensors and pump speed controllers
  • Data on the current energy consumption of the pump
  • Innovative control and analysis algorithms, e.g. with a control concept based on ΔT, fixed value in %, flow rate in l/min or fixed value in %.

PERIPHERAL PUMP

  • Steep characteristic curve for lower flow rates and high pressures
  • Energy consumption increases with increasing pressure
  • Previous market standard in TCU in the volume business
  • Solid, compact design
  • Operating flow rate significantly lower than maximum flow rate
  • Moderate efficiency

CENTRIFUGAL PUMP

  • Flat characteristic curve, for higher flow rates and medium pressures
  • Centrifugal principle, rotodynamic
  • Energy consumption increases with increasing volume
  • Previously found in high efficiency TCU series
  • Robust but larger design
  • Flow partially possible up to maximum flow rate
  • Very good efficiency
