Pump technology and PEM
PEM - Intelligent control that reduces CO2 emissions and saves costs.
The innovative Pump Efficiency Module (PEM) is a speed control, monitoring and analysis concept specifically designed for heating and cooling processes.
Depending on the plant variant, the PEM consists of:
- Sensors and pump speed controllers
- Data on the current energy consumption of the pump
- Innovative control and analysis algorithms, e.g. with a control concept based on ΔT, fixed value in %, flow rate in l/min or fixed value in %.
PERIPHERAL PUMP
- Steep characteristic curve for lower flow rates and high pressures
- Energy consumption increases with increasing pressure
- Previous market standard in TCU in the volume business
- Solid, compact design
- Operating flow rate significantly lower than maximum flow rate
- Moderate efficiency
CENTRIFUGAL PUMP
- Flat characteristic curve, for higher flow rates and medium pressures
- Centrifugal principle, rotodynamic
- Energy consumption increases with increasing volume
- Previously found in high efficiency TCU series
- Robust but larger design
- Flow partially possible up to maximum flow rate
- Very good efficiency
